Selam aleykum
First of All, congrats on this package. May Allah subhana wa ta'ala reward you people. I was looking for some open source Qur'an tools and good adhaan program but didn't find any so far. And with the automatic installation it goes rather smooth. Just one thing I disliked is the theme. I set mine back to ubuntu human. I don't know the colors were just wrong, not that I dislike green, but the windowbars were to bright and the higlighted text to dark. Perhaps a different green altogether would be wise. Well I don't think there actually exists such a thing as "ugly colors" it's all about combining. Or maybe it's just that I'm used to the human theme by now. Anyway, hope I don't come across as splitting hairs here. I realize these are just minor setbacks compared to all the good qualities and benefits of your work. Just thought I should give some feedback.

Waalaikum assalaam

We appreciate the feedback you just gave about the look of ubuntuME. This is what we need most! Thanks for letting us know what other think about the distro. We will consider that in the next releases.

In fact Only green is so restricted, we are looking to come up with themes in different colors. It is a matter of time and patience.

MashaAllah
The new humanMe theme is a great improvement Smile

One little detail, I see the buttons for teh default firefox theme got changed to, but they seem hardly recognisable. Only when you hover over them can you actually see which button is which Smile

I have to say that the theme on Ubuntu Muslim Edition is lovely, it really does showcase the edition. I am a KDE user normally but I'll be coming back to Gnome for a while.

Anyway, on to my point: the cursor. I have to admit to not being an arabic speaker/reader (hoping to change this obviously). Is it just me that finds the writing next to the cursor distracting? I appreciate that it fits into the theme, unfortunately I find that it gets in the way a little.

I am not meaning to be at all disrespectful but what do other users feel?

I understand that I could customize the theme but I wanted to avoid this and wondered if other people felt the same.

Thank you once again.

Assalamualaykum.

I'm really sorry if this is too much, but, honestly, this is my feedback.

UbuntuME does comes with great softwares like Zekr with recitals ready, Adhan to remind me for solah, etc.
I like it.

But,
The theme isn't very good for eyes.

Current UbuntuME theme (dark green) is just too eye-irritating Confused . I end up using clearlooks or others instead because of 'sore eyes'.
The Metacity's buttons also too narrow.
Also the UbuntuME icons looks like a vegetable/'Hulk'ed version of Human icon Neutral . I ended up using Tango icons.

We need softer colours. Maybe lighter blue colors (like latest Zekr's splash screen color?) will work.
